What's It Cost?

OK, what's the catch?   Well, going to the Jamboree does cost more than a week at Rota-Kiwan.  There are two components to the total cost.  It will cost $795 to attend the Jamboree itself.  This is known as the "National Fee".   On top of that is the "Touring Package".  This covers the round-trip transportation, three or more days of site seeing costs, lodging on the way and back, food on the road, etc.  Combined, these fees will cover all expenses (travel, lodging, food, site seeing) for the trip.  The only additional money needed is for spending money for souvenirs, snacks, etc.

The total cost will be approximately $1,800.  The final cost will not be set until we have contracts signed to cover the touring part of the Jamboree experience.  However, the out-of-pocket cost for each Scout should be less than that.  We are planning a number of fundraising projects and corporate sponsorships that will knock the cost down for each Scout.  Each Scout is encouraged to sell popcorn as a personal fundraiser.

Also, we should have funding available to offer "camperships" to help a few Scouts that might not get to go otherwise.
