How to Put Together A Jamboree Uniform

For the jamboree you will need at least two full BSA uniforms.  If you have the resources, three would be handy.   You will wear your uniform during all travel to and from Ft. A. P. Hill, during the arena shows, and during troop suppers.

A full uniform is defined as:
1) Short sleeved scout shirt. (Current style only!)
2) Scout shorts.
3) Scout socks.
4) Scout belt, or plain leather belt.
5) Green epaulets.
6) Patrol emblem.
6) Dark comfortable shoes.  (No white tennis shoes.)
7) The council jamboree hat you will be issued.
8) Jamboree nameplate. (One will be given to you.)
9) Scout red windbreaker, or red "jacshirt" wool jacket.  (In cool weather.)

Patches
Your shirt should contain the following patches:
1) US flag.
2) World scout crest.
3) Our council's jamboree shoulder patch.
4) Jamboree Troop 1223 numerals (You will be given two special one piece troop numerals.)
5) 2010 Jamboree shirt patch.
6) Your rank patch.
7) Badge of office, if any, for jamboree leadership postion hold.
8) OA flap (If a member.)
9) Any square knots you have earned (Arrow of Light, religious awards, etc.)
10) Subcamp or other BSA temporary patch on right breast pocket.  (Optional)

Allow an 1 1/2 inches between the top of the BSA or Interpreter strip for your nameplate.

Adult contingent leaders and staff may also wear special Jamboree regional insignia on their right shoulder.

If you have participated in a World jamboree, you may wear your World jamboree patch and the 2010 National jamboree patch together centered over the right breast pocket.
