YOUTH:
Southwest Michigan Council has been allocated one continguent troop for the 2010 Jamboree that will consist of
36 youth and 4 adult leaders. In addition to the minimum requirements listed below, the jamboree troop committee
will interview applicants and approve them before they will be added to the roster.
If you're interested in joining the party, contact the Council office as noted below and let them know you're
interested in going. Someone will contact you at a later date.
Each Scout must have completed sixth grade OR be 12 years of age by the start of
the Jamboree, but not reach the age of 18 before August 4, 2010. You must also be
a First Class Scout by July 1, 2010. You must also be active in your troop for six
months prior to July 1, 2010 and have the approval of your Scoutmaster. Scouts must complete a Jamboree physical health form
and participate in a pre-Jamboree training weekend. Contact the Kalamazoo Service
Center and say you're interested in going. You can call the Kalamazoo Scout Service Center
